Producers of 100% raw honeys, The British Honey Company produce honeys that range from Apple Blossom to Heather to Borage.
Established in 2013 and operating across Oxfordshire, each of their hives works endlessly to pollinate British meadows and hedgerows.
In 2017 with a love for gin and honey, they developed a delicious Dry London Gin infused with their own Cotswold Honey and the Keepr’s™ handcrafted spirits range was born.
Produced in small batches from 300-500 bottles, each batch is traceable to the hive the honey came from.
Available at selected times throughout the year, the Keepr’s range includes:- Honey Gin, Strawberry & Lavender, Raspberry, Salted Caramel & Honey, After Dinner Mint Liquor, Christmas Honey Spiced Vodka, Blackcurrant Vodka, Honey Spiced Rum, Elderflower Vodka, Apple & Honey Gin.
Having recently developed their new handcrafted spirits range, The British Honey Company were keen to take their product to market. As well as creating their own online shop they contacted existing stockists of their honey products and asking them to trial the new range.
“Our stockists were really supportive, but getting our bottles on their shelves was only part of the challenge. Having got them there, we also needed shoppers to take our bottles back off the shelves and over to the check out.”
Knowing how competitive the drinks market was, The British Honey Company knew how important it was to draw attention to their product on the retailer’s shelves. In addition they needed to educate shoppers about the new and unique features of their lovingly handcrafted range.
“We started thinking of ways to make our bottles stand out and to tell our story. After some research we realised adding tags around the bottle necks would tick both of these boxes.”
Offering a simple and cost effective option, the bottle neck tags would act like a ‘silent salesman’, catching the eye of shoppers as they browsed the shelves.
Printed with information about the product and the British ingredients used to make them, the tags would educate shoppers and encourage them to buy.
